Born in the Sussex Countryside
BumDry™ was born in the Sussex countryside - somewhere between a muddy footpath, a restless rescue dog, and a takeaway coffee that needed a proper moment to be enjoyed.
Like a lot of dog walkers, I found myself stopping to take in the view… only to realise there was nowhere dry (or clean) to actually sit. Wet grass, muddy logs, damp benches - the British weather doesn’t exactly make it easy. And after one too many “almost sits,” the idea for BumDry™ came to life.
Launched in April 2026 and based in East Sussex, BumDry™ started as a simple solution to a very familiar problem: how to sit comfortably outdoors, wherever you are, without overthinking it.
Designed from real life
This wasn’t about reinventing the wheel - it was about making something that genuinely works better.
After plenty of research (and a lot of time outside), the BumDry™ sit mat was designed to tick the boxes that actually matter:
